Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 2026. This policy explains what Brain Rot Arcade ("we", "the game", at brainrotarcade.com) stores and why. We keep it minimal.
What we store
- Game progress (on your device): your coins, upgrades, level, settings, chosen name and similar are saved in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device unless you create an account.
- Optional account: if you choose to sign up, we store a username, a securely hashed password, an email address (used only for login and password reset), and a copy of your game save so it can sync across devices.
- Leaderboards: if you submit a score, your chosen display name and score are stored to show on public/daily/weekly leaderboards.
- Ratings & feedback: if you rate the game or send feedback, your rating, optional message and display name are stored so we can improve the game.
- Cookies: a single secure, HttpOnly cookie keeps you signed in. We also serve ads, and our advertising partners may set cookies to show and measure ads; see Advertising below.
How we use it
Only to run the game: save and sync your progress, show leaderboards, let you sign in and reset your password, and improve the game from feedback. We do not sell your data.
Third parties
We use a small number of trusted third-party providers to host the site, deliver fonts, send password-reset emails, and (see Advertising) show ads. We share only the minimum information needed to run the game, and we do not sell your personal data.
Advertising
- We use Google AdSense to display advertising on this site.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this website and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to users based on their visit to this site and/or other sites on the Internet.
- Users may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info/choices.
- We aim to keep all advertising family-friendly and brand-safe for a general audience.
Your choices
- Reset everything: "reset all progress" in Settings clears your local data; for signed-in accounts it also clears your cloud save.
- Delete your account / data: contact us and we'll remove your account and associated data.
- Children: the game is family-friendly; we don't knowingly collect personal data from children beyond an optional username/email for accounts.
EEA / UK / Switzerland & US state privacy rights
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland, we ask for your consent (via a Google-certified consent message) before any personalised advertising cookies are used, and you can change or withdraw your choice at any time. If you are a resident of California or another US state with privacy laws, you have the right to opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information for personalised advertising — you can do this through the consent/ad-settings controls described under Advertising above. We do not sell your personal data for money.
